Chief's Message
Fire Chief Don Todd

The Plantation Fire Department stands out as a remarkable fire department within the State of Florida, boasting a rich history since its establishment in 1957. At its core, the department was founded on the honorable idea of fostering a sense of community and assisting fellow neighbors.

In the present day, our department functions as a unique combination of volunteer and career personnel, working in harmony to provide a diverse range of services to our community. These devot
ed professionals collaborate tirelessly, day in and day out, with the unwavering support of our Mayor and City Council, to propel the department forward.

As our city continues to flourish, the Fire Department is prepared to expand alongside it. We remain committed to upholding our impressive ISO rating of two (2), enhancing the living conditions within our stations, and equipping our members with state-of-the-art tools and technology. Our aim is not only to meet, but to consistently exceed, the expectations of our citizens, as we strive for continuous improvement and progress towards the future.
